You're currently on the holding website for a new local newspaper. It will cover West Yorkshire, and be based in Leeds.
In February, we launched a campaign to see if there was enough interest to launch a new local paper here. We said that if 500 people would pledge their support in just one month, we would go for it.
It was a pretty audacious target, but local heroes came through. With just two days to spare, we hit our goal.
Now we're getting ready to properly launch. We're hiring a team, building a website and getting an office. We're aiming to launch at the start of May.
Who are we?
This new launch is an initiative from Mill Media. We launched a local newspaper in Manchester, The Mill, in 2020. It now has over 50,000 readers. We've since gone on to launch in Sheffield, Liverpool, Birmingham, Glasgow, and London (in that order). Our journalism has won awards, and been described by

What happens now?
It's not too late to pledge your support — we're still offering a 20% founding discount for anyone who joins before we properly launch.
